Oh, I got the editor to work. Joco is a member on The P2 Zone forums. He helped out a lot with the RSC's CRC algo, although I coded (or mashed together) the editor myself.

He made the entire UCI extractor and repacker himself though, so props to him.

Where can I find the editor, would this forum allow you to point me in the direction of seeing where his work is?

I probably won't update this any more, unless I find more interesting things to hack in RSC, but it seems that joco's UCI editor will eliminate the need for that.

Now if only it'll work correctly!
Indeed, I had not seen your second version of rscedit lol I updated the gmp3 tutorial

And what are the 3 original fonts btw? Bitstream Vera Sans, AV_script_1_latin and?

For UCI editor:

Nah, Bitstream Vera Sans was the first font I tried hacking in, but it didn't work.

The three original fonts are developed by some Korean company; they are probably specific to Samsung's products. And I don't like any of 'em fonts. ):

Hello ,

First , I would like to thank you for your hard work

Now I have a question about the TJ firmware . I copied the rsc , renamed it from YPP2TJ.rsc to YPP2.orig.rsc . When I dragged the font on the third.exe , it created a YPP2.rsc which I renamed to YPP2TJ.rsc but when I update my P2 , I still have the same original font . How can I make this work with the TJ firmware ? Thanks again

Oh you risk taker. Don't do that ever again. =P

The TJ edition firmware uses a different resource file, where the offsets for the fonts are different. If you want a TJ edition editor, I could make one, but it seems unnecessary because all the benefits of it are negated by the font editor on for the regular edition, and by the upcoming UCI editor developments.

Yeah, any regular P2, version 5.10. They all use the same RSC.

yeah I noticed that too. korean, japanese and chinese fonts are "empty", whereas thai seems untouched.
