Problem With my new s9

i just got my S9 yesterday , i am using a mac, so i was trying to transfer my music by simply dragging and dropping, however, i have put a mixture of songs on, in various file formats, however, then don't appear in the music section! i have managed to but an avi file on, and watch that, and also some pictures.

i have the s9 in MSC mode. i am running version 2.06, and it says i have used 92% of the memory.

my mac is running leopard 10.5.6

can anyone help?
