Hey guys.

Well.. My zune is still not ok...

I did the battery removal trick and myz une was working perfectly... until I accidentally connected it to my pc, the one with the zune software installed. It then rebooted bby itself and entered the same boot freeze state. I left it like that and went to the new year party... the next day, the way to solve the problem was on the internet so I decided to do so... unfortunately, it didn't work. it didn't work for about.. 6-7 times.

I depleted the battery ( left the zune on until it turned itself off - when pushing the play button the "battery with one exclamation mark" logo appeared ), then charged it until it opened itself on both a pc with zune software installed and on one with no zune software installed... even on one xbox 360... when it starts, it freezes on the zune boot screen.

I know it was a stupid thing to open the zune but there is no microsoft support where I live... I have about 5 years of electronics experience so I'm confident I didn't do any mistakes to cause some short-circuits or memory erase... Just plugged one wire out.. then again in.

Thanks in advance guys!

I tried charging it via ac adapter (as that is the only way of charging it wothout a pc) and the same frozen boot screen hit me in the face...

Edit: there's still a lot of zune users with the problem... For ex. here

i had the same problem, then i read somewhere that i should set the clock on the computer to 2010...so i let it drain again and plugged it back in when it showed the low battery, and as soon as i saw the begining of the bootup i held back, left and center... or whatever it is to reformat it. then followed the steps on the zune and it works fine now
