Default .RSC and .ROM files used for P2 Firmware (needing help)
Well, I got this P2 as a gift and it only came with the ear buds, USB equipment, and the P2 device. I went to Samsung's website to get the firmware but my computer can't read the .RSC and .ROM files that came in the ZIP file. Is there any way to get the firmware for a computer that can't read those two files?

You computer doesn't have to read those two files.
All you have to do is dl them from samsung website, unzip it if needed, and copy paste it to the root (where you can see all the folders) of your P2.
then disconnect it from you PC.

Another problem... My computer detects the P2 but it doesn't show up in My Computer. When I got the P2, I didn't get the CD to install the drivers.

Well, this is depends on your P2's mode.
There are 2 modes : MTP (your P2 works as a music player and you can't see it on My Computer) and UMS (your P2 is detected as a flash drive).
It seems that your P2 is still MTP.
