ZEN Stone: Music Disapears!

I have a ZEN Stone and it work perfectly before these last few days. I have been using a PC to transfer music and charge using the software until now I used my mac to drag and drop music onto the stone. [Why the Mac, it was more convenient at the time.

Here's the problem.

When I reconnected the ZEN Stone again, all the files were gone. I can put music back on but, the NOW the music skips, and sometimes starts in the middle of the song. I don't think it's the music because it's the same music from when it worked perfectly, just off of a different computer. I've reset, formatted, used that recovery tool thing.

And all Blah.

Sounds like something is corrupted and the formatting didn't help. You could try error checking, CHKDSK. If that doesn't work, you'll have to reinstall the firmware.

Welcome krdatsme. Yeah, it sounds like either a firmware or filesystem corruption.

Weee, ok. Well that link there helped me... I think.

Whenever I transfer the songs from the Mac it comes out all nasty. BUT on the creative application thing it works fine... for now at least. So I'll just stick to it. No skips, just yee. :]

Good to hear krdatsme. For future reference, this thread should help. As for the Mac option.... you may want to check out XNJBm or Bootcamp.

The XNJBm didn't support the ZEN Stone but as long as it works I'm fine.

And Bootcamp, maybe another day.

Yeah, sorry about that. The Stone isn't supported since it is a MSC device and not an MTP.
