I have a question, does the fuze download the updates on it's own or do you have to do it manually?

And, what was in the update?

Note: I did not install the software that came with my Fuze when I bought it so I don't know if it checks for updates without that software or not.

Raverdave70, you need to use the Sansa Firmware Updater to do it on it's own. If you do not want too, you need look here or look on the real Sansa forums.

Sansa Updater alerted me to the new update.

I don't see anything different with the minor version change.

One difference I see with 1.1.11A is that it no longer loses the RESUME points in Audiobooks when you sync new content. Thumbs Up!

Hey, I found something pretty cool about the firmware update.

You can press the "play/pause" button at anytime. This means that you don't have to go back to the "Now Playing" screen to play/pause music.

From the ABI Sansa Fuze review: "In order to give the UI some consistency and improve usability there should only be one way to traverse lists- that being the rotation of the wheel."

I guess that's fixed now.

List of changes taken from the Sansa website:

Bugs Fixed:

Photo playback
External album art dropped to device in MSC mode shows up under Photos.

Audiobooks

Refreshing database looses bookmarks for Audiobooks.
Audiobooks resume to paused state instead of continuing playback.

Host interactions

Music playback doesn't resume after plugging into PC in off mode.

Localized region firmware

The default USB mode for EMEA region is now MSC.

Miscellaneous
Device jumps to next song if Photo Option is pressed during Slideshow with Music Shuffle on. “Song Added to GoList” message shows up if center button is pressed in Video menu.

Enhancements:

The >|| button is used to control music play/pause instead of scroll up.

Known Issues:

Device displays "Subscription Expired" messages causing device to not respond to key presses (Work around: Restart device or press keys repeatedly to escape looping).

Music "Play Previous" menu item does not appear/function after returning from FM, Video, Photo, Podcasts, or Audiobooks playback (Work around: Go to Music > Songs to access last played song).

If you look at the date on that post, it was in June All valid information, but we're about a week away(at last report) from another update
