Should I get a D2 for xmas?

and when it says 30fps does it have to be 30 fps or is that just the maximum

It will not play them as FLV files but will play them as avi files. Get a copy of Any Video Converter get 2.5.9 it will covert YouTube videos that will play right on the D2. They do not need to be 30fps I do most of mine in 25fps. Just encode any video in xvid 320x240 and you should not have any problems. I moved from a Creative Vision M and all those videos played on the D2. Man I can not say it enought the D2 is so amazing. It has to be the best play on the market hands down.

yerp, 2 actually an easy to use normal one and a fairly powerful scientific which requires the funky little pic stylus, or some other pointy object.

Man and you can add all kinds of flash games too. It also has a note pad, TV out and FM recorder with timer. Bookmarks both audio and video. like I said in my other post this thing is AWESOME!!!!!

Here's a YouTube video of how to convert videos using Super for the D2.
If you use Firefox there is an add-on called Fast Video Download that lets you download videos from YouTube, or about any other web site. Super will convert almost any video format so it can be played on the D2.

Super is a pain in the butt. The UI sucks. Get a copy of Any Video Converter its free. Get 2.5.9 if you can find it. You can drop the url of the youtube video you want then it will download the video and encode it for the D2 all at once. I have been doing this for many years and have found nothing that works as easy as Any Video Converter The UI even your grand mother could use. If you try Any Video Converter here are the settings you need
Profile--------- customized AVI Movie (*.avi)
Video codec ------xvid
Video size----- 320.240
Bit rate ------ I like 150-750 depends on how bad you need it to look good. The higher the bit rate the better it will look.
All the other setting leave default.
I would give Any Video Converter a shot.

Use the cd that comes w/the D2, JetAudio. It has Jet Video Converter included in the installation, and it works great for the D2, plus a few other players I have (***psst,...check my sig below***).
