I've about decided on the D2 after flirting with the iAudio 7.
I still have a few questions about the FM recording scheduler. - Can you listen to music files from the media library while recording from FM tuner? (record in the background) - Can you set both an on AND off time for the recording or do you have to manually stop the recording? - Is the speed control listenable at 1.5x for podcasts? - What are the bitrate options for FM recordings? - Is their a noticable lag when using an 8G or 16G SD card? Thanks!! |

Thanks much Bill. I've had my d2 for a day now. Still discovering all the functions.
I'm very pleased with the audio quality of audio files. The FM radio is sorely lacking. I have a motorola soundPilot that sets a high bar in that regard (it also has RDS which is great). I had intended on recording a morning talk show that last for 4 hours. Guess I will have to settle for 2 hours. Also, appears you can only schedule one recording per day. I have an afternoon talk show I'd like to record as well, so no go on that. Any idea if firmware can make this possible? |

Yeah the FM sucks butI only needed that for one reason. I record my Sirius using the FM transmitter on that. I never listen to FM anymore there is nothing to listen to. I have had many players and the D2 kick ass on all of them. It does so much.
You can set the time for always if at some point you can turn it off after 4 hours? They should have made that 4 hours since most talks shows are 4 hours. Even better let you set the time you want it to turn off. |
