I was reading discussion that followed the review link for Sansa Fuze, and users stated that $30 earphones can't give a good sound quality.
I usually buy $10 earphones and think it is already too much ![]() I am considering to buy Sansa Fuze at @ $40 in Costco this weekend. It would be really hard for me to see how I could spend as much for the earphones just to get a 10% better sound. Can you give some insight on eraphones, what is good quality for the money? Thank you in advance! |

There are many choices depending on what type you would prefer....on-ear, around-ear, in-ear, clip-on-ear.....I personally like the Koss KSC-75 in this price range but there's plenty of other choices and knowledge in this thread....

I got AKG in-ears, that are really inexpensive and produce great sound quality (AKG K 324 P - Another Creative EP-630/Sharp HP-MD33S clone... comes with a case.).
I think, these (or the clones) might offer the best value for money.

Zuze, please consider the performance you will get with the Clip, rather than the price you will be paying. For instance, there are some people who even listen to the Clip with $1000,00 pkus IEMs
Isn't that right, Walkgood and dfkt.

I just bought a pair of skullcandy Ink'd headphones and they are a definite step up from the buds that come with the clip/fuze. To my ears more comfortable (with the medium plugs) and they sound better than the stock buds. BUT they do have a lot of microphonic noise from the cord compared to other headphones. Depending on how 'active' you are while wearing them this may bother you a lot or not at all. For $10 they are a good deal, at least I like them and I spent $15 for mine.

What do you think of Sony earphones? How long does a good pair of earphones typically last? Radioshack tells me typically six months if you take care of them.

I use JVC Air Cushions (HA-FX66R) which I've enjoyed tremendously. Great sound and great noise isolation. I paid less than $25 for them through Amazon.com and Beach Audio.

I am currently using some Senn CX300s with my new Fuze. I'm quite pleased with the sound, although I'm wondering if I can improve it further. Anyone know of any inexpensive IEMs which outperform the CX300s and don't cost a fortune? I noticed Senn have several models in the same price range, which is confusing to say the least.
Do you guys think the CX300s do the Fuze justice? |
