I don't know if I like the design of the active speaker set.

all look rather useless.
running fm transmistter off battery power is bad.
the one that uses ciggy power is a usability nightmare.
can be done better with generic/universal products.

Logitec and Logitech are two different company. So I fixed the title.

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
In the Japanese market, Logitech uses the brand name Logicool since a Logitec (ロジテック, Logitec?) that focuses on computer peripheral devices has existed in that country since 1982, and its parent company has used the Logitech brand name since 1974.

Nice to see accessories, but dont forget this is for the NW series, not the NWZ, so the recorder probably wont work

I would expect to see more accessories soon since sony just released specs for its walkmans to 3rd party makers to start producing accessories. there was an article on engadget about "make for walkman" accessories.

Will 3rd party makers infact make anything for the Sony player? Were there enough of them sold to make it worth it?

I hope so.

This might not be about Logitec's accessories, but I did see these by Suntac (?) that utilize the WM-PORT for Japanese Walkman (NW, not NWZ):

http://suntac.jp/products/sony/index.html
(Looks like A/C chargers, wind-up cables, line-in recording, etc. It's really nothing to get excited over... )

Probably not seeing any 3rd-party makers because of the Walkman's low market share outside Japan.

There are actually new accessories coming for the NWZ's too. Found some product numbers and pics in a pamplet in the S638 box, and googled them:

http://www.askdirect.co.uk/uview?cal...earch&id=12715

i'd very much like that second one
