since it is discontinued, I'd honestly say not to expect them. They don't have to, but hopefully they do. What they've done with the Bluewaves has been phenomenal. Before I got my P2 (and upgraded straight to 5.10) I read up on everything that they added and tweaked. They showed that firmware updates can make a significant update to the functionality of a player.

As a result, the P2 is almost complete. There are some things that could be added though. Gapless maybe? Companies should learn to implement the feature. Now. Right now, it's only two of the most powerful coorporations that have done this, and have them readily available (i.e. iTouch, Zune). This doesn't leave alot of choice if you're looking for that feature. I really want my next mp3 to have it. It's a sore wound of mine haha

to my knowledge, yes. I'd love to be proved wrong on this though.

That does not mean Samsung is still making them.

yeah the p2 is discontinued, i went to go buy it friday and i went to bestbuy, abc warehouse and circut city and all have said its been discontinued but luckly the people over at circut city were awsome and found 3 more p2 's in the back that they never sold so i luckly got one. but i was just curious on if they were going to make more firmware updates plus i want some addons to my p2. like more games, and dictionary and the lyrics without having to go and change the firmware to Korean. and how come no one had made any homebrew games. i mean theres homebrew games for zune, and touch. i was just wondering.

I'm curious to know if this means that the P3 is on the way. That will be phenomenal if it comes out soon!!!

The p2 is now $118.99 on newegg, that's a huge price drop from the original $200 or so. Even if the P2 is "incomplete" because of lack of added features it is still a worth while player to get, especially for the price now.

it always was a worthwhile player, depending on what you wanted it for. For me, it's quite close to being "complete". All players have their flaws though, so it just depends on how much those flaws get in the way.

They just begun selling the P2+....a P2 with the 5.xx firmware and nothing else new. I think the P2 have been displaced by the P2+.
