Default Samsung P2...in Korea

Wow, i just checked out the korean samsung websites, and they have a lot of variations of the P2....i think even one has wifi!

yeah.. when i went to korea this summer my cousin had a mp3 plyaer which could tune into korean tv channels with live feedback... thats sick but i still dont see the point of a wi-fi in a mp3

That's not wi-fi. That's just the antenna for the DMB receiver. Wi-fi would be nice, however. Would allow for checking email or other quick things like that without having to pull out a laptop or find a public terminal to hop on for a few seconds. That being said, it's not a dealbreaker. The P2 does what it does, and excels at it. Screw paying a ton of extra money for an ipod just to have wifi.

yeah i agree wifi is a wast on an mp3 player, just makes the player bigger -_-
and what is DMB?

DMB is a broadcast service used in Korea specifically for mobile devices. The reason we don't see DMB here in the US is because the frequencies used for it are taken up by the military here, and nobody has bothered to invest in a simliar service using frequencies that ARE available.

True except that you say no-one has bothered to invest in a similar service... You are wrong. ATSC is the digital OTA standard that all stations will switch to exclusive broadcasting in February of 2009. That's why it's a big deal. You should expect to see mobile or similar devices with ATSC tuners very shortly actually.
