Default Charging Problems

I tried searching on the subject and found that some peopl had different issues with battery life an charging problems, but not my specific problem:

I am running kugel's build on my e280, and it has been acting funny about charging.

I pug it in, and the OF boots, but the battery bar shows to be about half full, yet it doesn't try to charge (i.e. flashing bar).

When I boot to rockbox, it shows about 1/8 battery left, but again, it won't charge.

I have tried to plug in with the player on in rockbox, on in OF, and off, but it still won't charge?

Anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix? Could it just be kugel's build? (i hope not, I like it so far).

Thanks in advance.

Are you using an USB port with enough mA? The back ports and ports straight on the motherboard works the best.

sorry if this is a stupid question; but what is mA?

I assume that has to do with the amount of juice (for lack of a better term), and I but that is the problem, I am plugged into a a 4 port hub, then to my laptop's usb. I'll try to do it just to the usb port. Thanks for the input, I'll let you know how it works.

EDIT: Yup, that got it charging. Thanks a lot, it would have taken me a while to figure that out.

A mA is six-thousand, two-hundred forty-one and a half trillion electrons running by each second, whether they be in Massachusetts or Madagascar.

... But most people prefer the more familiar term: JUICE
