Default What hard drive would I buy for my ZVM?

I emailed Creative and they say my warranty is out of date (which it isn't)

I'm trying to see what hard drives would fit in a ZVM 30g. If you could link me that'd be great. Any size will do.

Which ZVM 30GB do you have, fatty or slim? Your second link doesn't work.

These should help:
Here is the ABI disassembly guide.
Here is a video of a disassembly.
Here is the hard drive replacement thread.
Here is the new tested hard drive swap thread.
Here is the hard drive connector type thread.

Don't worry the ZV:M 30GB only has one size slim. Any 1.8" drive will fit in it. the 8mm ones will be a very tight fit though so the first drive may work it will just be a bit of a squeeze. You also need to find out what connection it has inside, zif or pins.

Sorry about that. I looked over you mentioning it was a 30GB ZVM. Just look over the links I posted above. They should have all the information you need for replacing the hard drive. Good luck!

As long as it's an ipod VIDEO, yes.

The ipod video. None of the hard drives from older models would work at all and the newer ones haven't been tested enough. I don't think they work anyway though.

You don't know which iPod you have? You want one of the drives in a 5th generation (5G) iPod Classic (aka iPod Video).
