  • Where is sansapatcher located on your system?
  • where is the video file located?
  • From where did you try to run the script?

1) /usr/local/bin
2) /home/tim/Videos/Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series
3) just the terminal (tilda)

If you are currently not in the directory (folder) where the video file is located, you will need to include the full path, ie., prepend the filename with "/home/tim/Videos/".

wait, doing this:

tim@ubuntu:~/Videos/the abridged series$ sansampeg "episode 1 pilot.mov"
/usr/local/bin/sansampeg: line 70: mencoder: command not found

0 videos converted successfully, 1 unsuccessful
Skipped 0 non-video files

mencoder:command not found, I did a fresh install, so I don't have mencoder.

edit:

ok, installed mencoder, cd into the folder and ran the command, now I get this-

This is the correct behaviour- the video is being transcoded (the output you see is from mencoder). Be patient and wait.

cool, sansampeg working for you
well if you want the nautilus script, do this:

cd ~/.gnome2
mkdir nautilus-scripts
cd nautilus-scripts
wget http://janitux.boaboa.org/wp-content...7/11/sansampeg
chmod u+x sansampeg

and that's all

PD : what problems are you having with sansa and GNOME? (remember to use the Original firmware to transfer files)

no prob, got the mounting to work but I don't actually know how I did it! I tried a whole load of fixes at once then just restarted, now it's fixed! I was getting the 'failed to initialized hal' message.

Sorry for the late reply- I have been on a family reunion cruise and have not checked my email. Like all open sourced programs, it was written to scratch a personal itch- I am glad that it is useful for you.
