Creative Zen 8g Problems!!

hey, i have a creative zen 8gb (its great) and i want to buy some external speakers for it. But i noticed that the connection on the zen is differrent from any other brand i have seen. so how would the zen connect to the speakers with that kind of connection? thanks
Also can you buy a wall charger for this player?

P.S: please dont use technical words im a bit of a rookie!

The zen has a standard mini USB connector, simple to get speakers, just get ones that have a standard jack and plug into the jack on the player that way! as for a wall charger, if you have an old razr charger laying around, or a blackberry charger, those both output 500 mA 5 volts, I happen to use the charger from my old Razr on my zen, don't have the razr anymore, but the charger is safe to use!

can you buy a charger from ebay or a shop?
so can you buy speakers with a mini usb connection?

The USB connection does have audio output. So, you will need to use the headphone jack for speakers. Since the ZEN is MTP, most likely the data connection will not work.

I do believe that Creative makes external speakers for their players so you might want to start on the accessories page of their website...

I was thinking of third party speakers with USB ports, not Creatives.

From the Zen FAQ:

The Zen uses a standard USB 2.0 type A to Mini B male to male connector/cable for connectivity and charging through USB ports.

The max input voltage of the Zen is around 5v. Most devices that can charge or run off the USB host power can handle the max 5v of USB ports. 4.2 volts is usually the max Lithium ion batteries are charged to. It is usually around when the high voltage circuit is triggered and stops the charging of the battery. I would not connect a charger to the Zen that puts out more volts then 5v. An output current of up to 1A has been known to wrok just fine.
