Default Rain covered Zen nano +

When I go back home last night suddenly heavy rain started to fall. So my nano got wet. I wipe the water off the device, but today when I got up the player isn't playing. Once it started but didn't go any further than blue screen with CREATIVE title on it. I didin't try to hook it up on my computer because I forget to do that and I am not home anymore,so I don't know if data transfer is working. What can I do? Regards, Martin.

Never turn electronics on that have gotten wet or you risk frying it. Take them apart, let them naturaly dry, you can use a fan to speed up the process. In a few days/week you can put it together and test, many times all will be fine. Good luck.

Yeah, listen to what Walkgood mentions. I would give it a few days to dry out completely before trying to power on again. After a few days (and hopefully no permanent damage) if you take out the battery and then plug into the computer, does it power on and stop booting at the same spot? If so, try to boot and connect the Nano as a Recovery Device.

If nothing else, taking the battery back off and the battery out would be a good idea to help it dry out. In the 5 years I've had my MuVo N200, I'm pretty sure it got dunked. That sucker just keeps going. And I once dumped a StarTac cell phone in a sink full of water. A few days later (after drying out) it started working again.

Good ol' StarTac..... I once washed mine () in the washing machine and it still worked after a couple of days of drying out.
