LOL, do you think Philips gear is still made in the Netherlands?

Of course the Sennheiser are made in China, too - but I should have italicised the word "generic", meaning they Phillips are just re-branded OEM-stuff. Which can or cannot be a bad thing.

But believe me, the Sennheiser are really good in the $10 class of earbuds.

The difference between both companies is that Sennheiser is specialised in headphones and microphones, while Philips is an all-around manufacturer of every stuff electronic, from toasters to TV-sets.
