This message won't go away even though earphones are plugged in. Also, I can't reset, turn off, or connect to my computer via USB. Nothing works!
I suppose the battery will drain and then maybe let me do something to the player... |

Are you using the stock headphones?
Does it get detected and can you access it when you connect it to the computer? Check out this thread on resetting and formatting.
