I know many have reported bugginess with the 5.05 beta ver., but I'm not one of them. Should be a moot point soon as the final BW4 firmware will most likely be released quite soon. Either way, you can always change the firmware at whim.

Major reasons to go with the beta firmware is for the User Backgrounds (UCI's) and the voice recorder function.

A bricked P2 makes and excellent paper-weight..

Seriously though, I know of two ways to make your P2 unusable (bricked).. but even then, it can be brought back to life with a bit of work using FDWIN (a piece of software) to fix it.

One is to use your P2 with a Mac... for some reason, charging via USB and disconnecting the P2 from the Mac's USB port can cause a P2 to enter an endless loop. It's happened to my Nephew four times.. and I have recovered it four times.

The second is not following correct procedure when changing the P2's firmware version from MTP (common in the US) to the Korean MSC/UMS firmware and back again. NOTE: Just upgrading versions of the firmware does not cause problems.

It's pretty difficult to screw it up, but it can be done.

Of course you could cook it in a microwave oven, drop it off a building or run over it with a truck.. if you are really determined.

I have converted 3 different P2's to the KR firmware, with no problems.
