Default Trekstor i.beat emo

Anyone else have one?
It's an adequate player. I got it for $5 after rebate from Office Depot last week. It's a 1gb player with the built in lithium battery, mini-usb port, fm radio, is supported in linux, voice recorder, plays videos (awful resolution because the screen is pretty crappy) shows photos,
(It does not display mp3 cover art.)

I'm having trouble getting it to play cd tracks in order. I have the mp3's tagged perfectly. Any thoughts?

You might want to try putting the track numbers at the beginning of your filenames, this helps with a lot of players (eg. track# - title.mp3, or similar).

You misread the manual:

Quote:
Note: The maximum battery life is reached only after approximately 10 charging cycles.
This means a fresh player right out of the box won't play as long as one whose battery has been charged for 10 times already. After 10 charging cycles the battery reaches its full potential.

You should be able to recharge a Li-Ion battery such as this for about 500 times. The usual life span of such a battery is around 3 years in general.

I got an i.Beat emo today as a gift, and I've read through the manual. However, I must be misunderstanding something, because I'm having trouble loading my music onto it.

I use unprotected mp3s, just to clarify.

The manual says that people using Windows XP should copy/paste the music into a folder in My Computer. I assume they mean this.

So I paste 'em in there and decide to take a listen to make sure everything's working good. The next step is to properly unhook it from the PC, right? So the manual says the click an icon on the taskbar and go from there.

Except I can't find the icon. Either it didn't pop up, or it doesn't exist..

And what's more, when I decide to just see if I can find the tracks I supposedly load on the iBeat, without unhooking it, I can't even get to the main menu.

So, can someone please give me a simple rundown on just what I'm supposed to do? Imagine you're explaining this to someone under the age of three.

Also, if you could take a screenshot of that icon I'm supposed to select before unhooking the player from the PC, I'd be very thankful.

Default attaching strap

This is completely retarded. I'm having trouble attaching the strap, so I'm just using different earbuds. How do you get the strap attachment through the loop holes on the player? This seems to be a great player. I just want to attach the headphone strap.

valis8536 , i had alot of trouble with the strap too lol you just have to keep trying until you either get it or give up i eventually got it by just working it with a sewing needle.

clawdia , im using vista but the mvideo folder is only for videos for music you just can just drop it next to that and for the icon you can see it here in the black box http://i28.tinypic.com/t4xo21.jpg you click it then select safely remove mass storage device.

i have 2 more questions

There are 2 small round pieces of metal taped to the inside of the box the player came in what are they ?

Can somone show me where i can get a cheap wall charger for this and what kind i need ?

Hmmm...I name my files (artist - track# with preceeding zero- title) so they are sortable in order by name. I'll try moving the numbers to the front, but theoretically it shouldn't matter.

It sure did matter with my Samsung YP-U1. Only when the track numbers were up front it would play them in order, not when artist or album preceded them. Maybe you get similar positive results with this Trekstor.

Thanks lizgirl. I'll work on it some more. I guess I don't have the patience that I used to. I like the player. The voice recorder, and FM radio seem to work pretty well too.

The metal disks are magnets. They match up with other magnets inside the flap, and hold the flap closed.

Where did you get a wall charger?
My wall charger didn't work for my emo. I plugged it in, and it turned it on, like it was connected to a computer, but the battery didn't charge.

Wow, you are correct. The numbers need to be first in the file names to get the player to play them in order. It has nothing to do with id3 tags or letters in the file names.

Talking Playing track in order

Press Play for a second to access the menu.
Scroll to Settings.
Scroll to Display.
Go down to Title.
Select File name (not ID 3 tag).
There it is, but you're not finished yet.
To save the setting you must scroll down and select Exit.

Hi.
I really need your help because i am SO bored. please consider reading this mail.

Earlier this morning, I transfered some videos to my mp3 player ("TrekStor ibeat emo") for the first time. I pasted some videos just to see if it works. It did not. Then I searched on your webpage that my mp3 player only supports .smv video formats. So i got a converter, converted my videos and pasted them again. This time all the videos were recognised. But, not all could be played.

What seams to be the problem here ? Why didn't the ibeat emo play all the videos ? Please respond ASAP because I am going on a vecation in a few days and I would like to watch my favourite videos in the plane.
