I am looking for a good small portable MP3 player that is cheap. The Sansa Express seemed perfect for my needs until I started reading reviews on Amazon. I seems a bunch of them stop functioning after a week or so.
How were your experiences about the Sansa Express? Were they as faulty as Amazon makes it be? |

There has been a few of the on here that had that stuff happening. You can fix it using the MSC/UMS mode or using a mircoSD card. Plus I have heard SanDisk in the newer firmware versions. Since I do not have an Express, I do not know, but I had a friend that has one. He did have a few of those issues, but since he has the newest firmware version, he has not had an issues yet as far as I know.

How does your friend like the Sansa Express?
I am thinking about getting an Sansa C100 instead because of all the problems people encountered. I really want the express as it sounds like the perfect player for me (small, flash based memory, compatible with Linux, cheap, is a flash drive so I can just plug into my computer, expandable memory) but the functionality problems makes me doubt my choice. If it is easy to fix as the forums make it seem, I will get the express. |

My friend did not like it at first because of the issues, but since they seemed to have fixed them, he likes it now.
A.z, did you read why he liked the Express? |
