Default Internet with USB host for connection

i highly doubt this is possible on a device like this but wouldn't it be awesome if there was some type of browser that could have a plugin on a pc and would kinda make a usb host and put a plugin on the sansa and you could surf the web. i mean the quality of it and the problems it would have would be bad but still it would be cool to have a internet browser.

It might work, but the screen size would be the issue. Plus the processor might have too much load on it.

What would be the point? The PC that it would connect to would be much better at surfing.

Since you're hooking it up to a PC anyway, wouldn't it make vastly more sense to just give the PC-side plugin as direct control of the display and buttons as possible, so instead of having a browser on the player, the player is just basically a "Remote with Screen" for some PC-side program?

Wll, I think surfing the web with a sansa could make sense if it would have a wifi module, but by connecting to a PC it is useless. For me, a possible idea could be, to really connect to the internet over a PC, but to use this connection for, for example, transfering new plugins/themes/whatever directly to your sansa from a central database. Also a rockbox update that way could be possible. So everything is up to date. Opinions?

This doesn't actually require anything changed in rockbox, but rather an app that runs on the PC.

well i was just making a point and i kinda new it would never work. but yea you guys are right it would be too slow and to type an address would take forever. also controls and connecting it to a computer when it has internet already would be stupid.
