Default Ebook reader?

Well I tried the ebook to image converter on these forums and it didn't seem to work/I didn't really know how to use it.Is there a way to read ebook's(.pdf)on a sansa e200 series(using rockbox or something).

Afaik, there is not a way to view PDFs on Rockbox (though I could be wrong here...i'm certainly not the most knowledgeable person about rockbox on this site )

In my experience with ebooks (mostly on various palm pilots, but also on rockbox and an LG500 cell phone) .txt format is the best way to go. I'd recommend finding a good PDF to txt converter application. I currently have a Phillip K. Dick short story on my e250 in .txt format.

No, only text files. Even if there is a plugin available, pdf is far too cpu intensive for the e200 series.

Other than the weak CPU, reading a PDF file on a 220x176 screen would be a real pain on your eyes (and nerves). PDFs don't do automatic line breaks, use mostly antialiased vector fonts, and lots of other things that make the format unusable for small screens.

Very true, just the horizontal scrollings will drive you crazy. The pdf standard was originally meant for a faithful digital representation of the printed document- it does not reflow if you change the size of the display like a web page does.
