Default Sansa Clip language support?

Hello

Looking in to buy a new mp3 player. interested at the Sansa Clip, does it support chinese?

Sansa Clip looks a little bit dull thou, anybody recommend other mp3 players that is a little bit more costly than it, but offer more cool features? Thanks!

Which features are you looking for, MrFobber? Video? Expansion slot? Bluetooth?

And how much are you willing to spend for the additional features?

Hello,

Just something like bluetooth support and video. Maybe 50 to 100 USD more?

Thanks!

So, considering a $60 2 GB Sansa Clip, your price range will be between $110 and $160, right? Samsung P2 seems to be out, then...

Have you looked at the Insignia Pilot?? For $159.99, you can get one (8 GB) from BestBuy. Bluetooth support, video and there's an expansion slot too.

Hello,

Yah, I actually thought about that, but cnet.com said that the sound quality is just so so. Are there any other options?

Thanks!

Maybe a Samsung T10?? According to ABi review its SQ isn't bad, although it isn't amazing either. You can pick a 4 GB from Amazon for $119.99. You could also try to stretch your budget a little and go for the Samsung P2 ($183.51 at Amazon), which should sound better than the T10, when comparing their reviews.

According to the user guide, both Simplified and Traditional Chinese are supported on Samsung P2 and T10.

Don't know. The user guide don't list the supported languages, AFAIK.

I believe the Clip supports both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, but I can't read them (I don't know Chinese) in the Language select menu to be sure.

If you load the firmware as "m300t.bin" you get ALL language selections (including both Hebrew and Arabic) and a somewhat interesting diagnostic menu as well...

For future reference, the Clip (at least the AP version) has Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean menus, in additional to all the western languages. It can also display filenames and ID3 tags in any of those languages. But your ID3 of course needs to be formatted for Unicode.
