What is on your Zen X-Fi wish list?

There are no details for Creative's Zen Share Wi-Fi player other than it will be released in March and its wireless. So what features are you speculating or hopping the player will have?

Well I just ordered a Zen 32gb. I was thinking about cancelling the order but decided to go ahead and get it. If the Zen Share is a big step-up I'll sell the 32gb and get one. What would I consider a big step up?

80gb in comparable size to zune or ipod classic or smaller.
No touch screen
No video conversion required
No bugs reported like the Zen
Wireless synch to music library

That is pretty much it.

I just want a player with the overall appeal of the new Zen (sleek and nice user interface), but without all the stupid glitches and hardware issues (i.e. non-integrating SD card slot).

That, and 32GB of flash memory and SD card slot would make me a happy camper.

(Basically, what the Zen should have been )

When we cross over from a portable Media player designed primarily for Music ( such as the ZEn) and see other players with Bigger screens with a different target use,

The Zen is nice for it's intended use, I think with WiFi There has to be a bigger screen, more memory (stay with Flash) with an inegrated SD slot.
less steps to navigate. & NO touch SCREEN, Better features with Video & Photo, with prompt respnse & support to any bugs.

If Creative designs it to allow for adequate screen size & adequate intenral memory while maintaining compact design then I would by it,

For some reason I doubt if there will be a 160GB based player. if so, it will be very expensive.
My reasoning: Apple gobbled up a large share of these players for the iPod Classic, which forces other manufacturers to market their players at a premium cost.

i like the ol touch and tactile combo the vision m has so ill go with that
and native formats are a must
but im not going to get it unless it has intergrated HCSD slot(s) (2 slots for 64gb total would be nice)
removeable batteries would also help too seeing how for the psp you just swap out the battery and put in a fresh one while charging the dead one.
and no i think ill keep my vision m even after this one UNLESS its 128GB FLASH STANDARD
otherwise ill wait cuz i have Alot of movies i would love to leave on a zen that i cant...

Well there's one feature that's the most important.. UMS support. I bet it will just be MTP, but UMS support would definately make the player interesting.

ok, this needs BLUETOOTH. My next MP3 player will have bluetooth.

Hard drive would be fine only if it isn't a bulky player, like my Zen Vision M 60GB.

If it has WiFi (which it sure looks like it does) it better have wireless syncing.

If it had SD card slot, it better be synchronized into the media library, with an option to look at it separably.

If it is a hard drive player, SD card slot optional, if flash player, SDHC slot necessary.

2.5 inch is BARE MINIMUM, 3.0 inch screen is much much prefered, 3.5+ inch screen required if you can go on the internet.

It would be cool if you are connected to internet w/ WiFi if you can download + install new firmware without using a computer.

Games would be nice, but not required. After all an Media player is for watching/listening to MEDIA.

FM tuner + recording is a must, must have because this is Creative, not Apple.


O, last but not least, touch screen would be cool, but not worth it if it makes the player really expensive. If it's a flash high capacity touch screen, we will be looking at one expensive MP3 player. If it has touchscreen, it better be a good, responsive one also, with some tactile controls. Lastly, if it has touch screen, it has to, has to be scratch resistant. HAS TO BE.

160gb. smaller than the vision M. does everything the M does. I dont want games, I dont want internet, I dont want anything but a large capacity Mp3 storage/player device. Price it like the zune/ipod classic and Ill buy it, day one. It's another crappy flash player, I will just keep my Vision M.
