Default Cheap Gaming Speakers & a general speaker question

Hey people,
I was wondering which speakers are good for gaming. 5.1 surround sound gaming. The speakers should be >200US$.

Also I have these pair of Sony Speakers (a cd, tape, and radio system. It says 2600W PMPO and 120 + 120 RMS) Suppose I wanna use them with my TV but I want to connect more speakers. As in I will use these sony speakers as the front speakers and i want to add a center and a rear speaker. Is that possible?

Also what are amplifiers used for ?The ones all you guys keep talking about. I have a guitar amplifier I know that the guitar inputs the sounds to the amp and then the amp outputs the sounds which we hear...

First of all you need a good receiver to make all those connections..

like this one : http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-SR304...2233497&sr=8-2

Or... you could buy logitech speakers or similar: http://www.amazon.com/Altec-Lansing-...2233728&sr=8-3

Amplifiers are for increasing the volume output of your speaker/s

So the reciever will be the device accepting all the connections of speakers and then it will get input from other devices(cd/dvd/vcd/vhs players and the such)

And since you've suggested me Altec Lansing and Logitech, so does that mean that Creative speakers like Inspire M5300 arent any good?

Are these and these any good?

Ok. Thanks. But trust me the creative EP-360 earphones are very good. And looking at their reputation in MP3 players i thought the speakers must be good. Thanks for the advice

They look promising. The 4" speaker cone and 8" woofer cone looks great.

The speaker box is made out of wood? and DTS/Dolby Digital, incredible deal for just $200
