Rockbox on the e200 doesn't support USB connections to a computer at the moment: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaFAQ

So recovery mode does not work? Sounds like something went wrong.

You use the Sansa firmware by |<< while booting it up.

How do I start the original SanDisk firmware?

Shut the device down by holding power/menu. Then, press power/menu to boot the Sansa. Immediately after doing this, hold down the |<< (left) button. Alternatively, when you plug in a USB cable while the Sansa is off, the bootloader will detect this and boot the original firmware so that you can charge and upload files to your Sansa.

It's all there on the site...
