Angry New sansa will charge, but that is it!?
Just purchased this today at Best Buy. (Good thing, I'll probably be back tom!)

Both computers (running xp) in the house don't recognize the device. They don't even notice something has been plugged in, but they will allow it to charge.

While I would love to upgrade the version, that isn't possible if my computers can't talk to it.

Is there something I've overlooked?

How are you connecting the Clip to your computer via front or back USB ports or USB hub? Are the computers desktops or laptops?

Wow, what a quick response. I think I like this website!

One laptop, tried side and back ports.
One monster, tried ports on tower.

I fixed it...
Would have never thought that I could be connected well enough to charge the clip, but not communicate.

Has to be pushed in all the way.

Jeeze.

Firmware upgraded, ripped audiobooks loaded. now for that walk.

i wanted to know dat why wen i turn off my sansa clip n turn it back on it has discharged its self how can i fix dat?
