Default Rockbox "doesn't work on the v2 models"

Which players have a v2 model - e200 or e200r? Do both of them have the same hardware?

rock box works on both e200 and e200R. It does not work on e200 v2 models. As far as I know there is not an e200R v2.

So, is the "SDMX4R-2048-E70" a v2 model or not?

Look if there is "Supports audible files" on the package or if there's a "V2" on the backplate or if the firmware version isn't 1.02.XX.

Dec 06, the model number for the e250 was SDMX4-2048. Now, it's Sdmx4-2048-A70. Not sure what the A70 means though. Also, in Mar 07, the model number on the Sandisk site is without the -A70, but when buying direct, it links to a page with the A70: http://web.archive.org/web/200703210...SDMX4-2048-A70

I don't think model number matters.
