Alone without another app directing them, probably not.

You would probably have to have a special boot-loader. From what i know, there isn't one.

To run multiple builds:
1. Install the first build as normal.
2. Download the second build, but instead of installing it, extract the zip folder to your hard drive.
3. Find the rockbox.e200 file in the build you extracted to your hard drive. It will be in the ".rockbox" folder, which is hidden by default.
4. Rename this file to whatever.e200 as in "cpchan.e200".
5. Put it in your player's .rockbox folder (which is also hidden by default).

To run the second build, start rockbox normally, then click on the cpchan.e200 file in the rockbox file browser. Rockbox will restart with cpchan's build.

Of course, since they use the same.rockbox folder, all of your settings and themes should be kept in both.

yes you 'play' .mi4 but I thought you needed to have two of the .rockbox folders for the build to work?

Yes, it's supposed to be .mi4, not .e200 (used to be .e200 though). Multiple .rockbox directories doesn't matter, because the .rockbox directory is hardcoded, so directories such as .rockbox1, .rockbox2, etc. wouldn't be touched, unless you rename them to .rockbox. Another thing to be careful about - if the builds are spread out too far (one is a week old, another a day old, etc) it may cause problems with plugins or music codecs. It all depends though.
