Default Rockboy slowdown

Yep, is there a way to get less slowdown when playing rockboy? I know i can change frameskip but its either Slow and smooth or fast and choppy! I know that rockbox on other Players is smooth, but not on my e200!

oh well, i hope theres a way to solve that little problem

Also, is there a NES emulator on the way? Ive heard rumors

Thanks in advance guys :P

It can be only make smooter through 2 ways:
1) Getting a player with a better processor
2) Optimising Rockboy

Option 1 kinda goes against the purpose of the topic, so I guess you're left with 2
I guess the only thing ordinary users like us can do is wait, and only play non-gameboy color games =p

About the NES emu, some builds have it, but its really, really, slow.

The processor really can't handle fast-paced games that well. Get some classics like pokemon and zelda. I personally use it almost exclusively for pokemon. I don't notice any slowness at all in that game.

Last I checked, the Sansa was a DAP, and Rockbox was meant to play music. However, as others have said, if you want to play games, you can:
Buy a faster DAP (Gigabeat is the fastest player to run Rockbox, IIRC)
Optimize Rockboy
Buy a game console.

Yes, some custom builds do have a plugin for NES games, though I'll warn you:
if Rockboy is slow, and the roms are meant to play on a screen size only slightly larger than the Sansa, and NES games are meant to play on a TV, the NES plugin is going to be even slower than Rockboy - when I had tested it, I got between what felt like 1 to 5 frames per second.
