Hi
I recently received a replacement e260 which I've since found out is a v2 (after reading various threads). Hopefully the headphone jack lasts longer than my e260v1's jack. I thought I'd received a dud replacement when I couldn't find the USB Mode setting, but noticed a few extra features, like being able to turn off the REC button, audiobooks setting etc. So far so good. This unit sounds better than my v1 - crisp and clean with my Creative EP-630, and so far no crackles between songs. Definitely a huge improvement in the start-up time - I have a 2bg microSD card and was very frustrated at the time it took to refresh the database each time I switched the unit on. This time, there is no 'refresh database' when I turn the unit on and it's ready to go, even playing from the same place if I turned the unit off mid-track AND at the same volume level. The only problem I've found (so far) is with playing playlists created in WMP10. I loaded all of my playlists from WMP10 without any problems and can see them. However, when I select one playlist (and here's another improvement - the time it takes to load the playlist is much shorter, even with 250+ songs in playlist), it will play one song from the playlist, then returns to the Music screen when I've got Shuffle On. If I have Shuffle Off, the songs in the playlist will play. I never had this problem with my e260v1. I like to listen to my playlists in Shuffle Mode during my long runs. Just wondering if anyone with a e200 series v2 has encountered this problem of not being able to play their WMP10 playlists not being able to play in Shuffle ON mode, and if there's a fix for it? The firmware version I have is 3.01.11A. Thanks!
