Default e200 MultiBL

I was wondering if there was a way to have a number of options on which firmware file you want to load. I am using an e200r and i am dual-booting rockbox and e200 firmware. I found this site which had a modified version of the rockbox bootloader. It allows you to have an option on which firmware to dual-boot in. I've followed the directions perfectly but i get a message "load image failed, switch to recovery mode". After i recover, i try again but the same thing happens.

This is what i did:
1) downloaded h3mod themes and put them in the system folder. (.mi4)
2) renamed each one F0 through f5. (i used 5 themes)
3) I kept an OF.mi4 file so it would load the original firmware
4) I copied the MultiBL to the root of my sansa.
5) Then i renamed it "PP5022.mi4"
6) Then it said if i wanted to boot into rockbox by default, i must delete the "F0", so i did.
7) I kept the OF.mi4 file there so the firmware would load.
8) I rebooted the sansa and then i get that message

If anyone has the time, could you look at the site and maybe tell me what i am doing wrong. Since it is a modified version of the rockbox bootloader, i expected it to load like the original rockbox bootloader because the original worked fine for me.

That's the problem - it's the signature check kicking in. Go to recovery mode and put the e200r OF back in it, and then once in the OF, follow the installation instructions for patching the bootloader (Step one in http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie...0RInstallation) which should allow you to use that bootloader (or any)

can i just put the firmware on the root of the device? Also, if i didn't have the bootloader patched, i wouldn't have been able to run rockbox. I believe i already had it patched.

The e200R needs a Rockbox bootloader built for the e200R series and I bet you got one built for the vanilla e200.

And yes, if you can run Rockbox you have a patched OF bootloader.

oh.... so it won't be able to run on the e200r unless it was made to run on the e200r. Is there any way to make it so it runs on the e200r? Another possible thing to do is convert my e200r into a e200. Hopefully there is a way to avoid that.

Sorry about that - usually I associate the "load main image failed" and "e200r" with the bootloader not being patched, and not the wrong bootloader being used

Bootloader will be ready in a minute

New problem. The bootloader runs fine now and i followed the directions exactly. When it searches and finds the .mi4 firmware file, the last thing it says is "sansa key used" and the i get the white screen of death. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: Is there anyway you can compile the patch and bootloader for me? Can you just make it one file?

I was confused about this for a minute, and then checked the svn info - I had used a copy from Oct 5 to build it. Hold on - I'll compile a new copy.

The bootloader has the patch included.

UPDATE: Try downloading the MultiBL bootloader again (same link as before) and see if it works.

Do u mind if i put that up on my site? I had not even thought about compiling for the R series.

And your link says ReverseBL but before you were talking about MultiBL...

It's your code, so I can't see why you can't put it on your site I'm not sure why it says ReverseBL instead of MultiBL, but it is indeed the MultiBL bootloader. Seeing that I had made that mistake both where the file is saved, and the download link (and the patch) I think it was probably just tab completion gone wrong. I'm going to change the link in a minute, and ReverseBL-e200.zip will be the actual ReverseBL.
