alright, I am trying to draw up my shopping list for my next run to the UK, and I realize that I just burned out my unknown Technics full-can headphones. They were decent too...
Anyways, so I am in the market for a closed or semi-open or open set of headphones. So would like some advice about it. This is mainly for home use, so I don't mind them being full size. Most of my music is rock/metal with some jazz and classic thrown in once in a while, so I am not looking for exactly heavy THUMP THUMP bass, but a rather more defined experience. Oh, and my budget is under a 100 pounds. So please people, help me out! |

(My favorites in that price range are the Beyerdynamic DT770 (closed cans), but they might have a little too much bass and recessed midrange for your taste.)

Another vote for the Alessandro's. I got the MS-1's and they are simply great for rock/metal. The bass doesn't overshadow other frequencies and the guitars have a "natural " or "organic" sound that I can't get from any of my other headphones (or course, they are in lower price ranges).
