No, it doesn't. But you can always try to convert PDFs to either .txt or .jpg.

good idea but wouldnt it be a pain in the ass reading it..scrolling etc

Same pain in the ass as reading any other format (especially preformatted PDF) on the 320x240 screen of the D2. Normal text would probably be the easiest to read. But then again, the D2 really is an audio and video player, it's not a proper replacement for a laptop or PDA. Text/photo viewer, notepad, flash player, calculator are just gimmicks, not really useful features (at least IMO).
