Does anyone know of any good quality noise cancelling headphones for under $25?

It can't be done old chap. I have listened to a whole range of store brand noise cancelling phones and they were very very poor.
Do you really need noise cancelling or could you make better use of a well designed closed back passive noise reducing design such as the Sennheiser HD201 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ardenbanter-21 Help use here, do you want full sized cans or inner ear phones. For $25 you should be able to find some Sennheiser CX300 and they are pretty good at noise attenuation. I use mine on planes and trains and they do block a lot of outside noise. These Philips model with active noise cancelling are within your price. They are an IEM style and could be worth a punt, but I have not heard them http://www.shop.philips.co.uk/katalo...ling_Headphone http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...d_i=B00061IYJC

You said the CX300 were $25?
<a href="http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/productdetail.asp?transid=500830">This</a> says the MSRP is about $90.

Go to ebay or amazon, and read the threads about the fake ones...determine that they are real...you can get them for about $20. And the amazon ones cant be fake.

Hmmm, I haven't really heard of amazon marketplace, but does that just mean that you arent buying directly from amazon? I'm pretty sure you can pick them up from amazon directly for about $40, though...And just to let deadly know, they have J cable style...so one wire from the splitter is really long, and the other is short, your supposed to wear it behind your neck (i think) and it gets annoying to some people. But, you are always welcome to mod them to a Y cable style!

If you look at that Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-CX3...1886124&sr=8-1 - those aren't sold by Amazon, but by someone called "Tech4bargains". Look, listen, beware.
