USB/AC Charger

If, like me you found it a pain having to plug your YP-Z5 into the pc to charge it, you'll appreciate the 'Hama MP3 Travel Charger with USB Socket'. Works perfectly on my player (& player doesn't have to be switched on while charging).

Also solves the 'holiday' problem

this charger you're tlaking about, does it work will all mp3players?

As long as it's one which works on standard USB charge rate (500ma) yes.

Thanks PWB. I have one being delivered tomorrow after reading that they work. Strange that Samsung tied Z5 users to heavily to the computer.

PWB, can I ask you a question about the Hama charger.

I've just received mine and first tried it on my Palm. The light changed from green to an amber colour so I assumed that it was charging fine.

On connection to my Z5 it turns red. No harm done and the Z5 reads connected so I assume that it is charging.

What colour is the light on yours when you charge the Z5?

UPDATE: Just to confirm that the Hama works well. For infor, the light is amber when I connect to my Palm pda and it goes RED when I connect to the Z5. It charges both fine. When the Z5 is charged, the light goes back to amber.

It's well worth getting so that you're freed up from the computer. Why couldn't Samsung have included one? (Along with a better handbook)

I'd just get the charger from Gomadic. Bought it for a couple bucks cheaper on ebay that from Gomadic directly. Works perfectly.
