Hi,
I am quite sure that I will get a red D2 8 GB soon. The above is the only question I still have. Everything else has already been written in many reviews. I have back up copies on DVD of the music I had on my previous player that crashed. I believe these are mp3 files (many line-in recordings with the Samsung YH-J70). Will the D2 take these or do they all need conversion before putting them on the D2?? Thanks for your answers to this last question (before getting the desired object). bwprius P.S. How long did it take for the 8GB version to be launched after the 4GB version? And, will a 16 GB version appear after the same lapse of time? |

Certainly, MP3s will work everywhere. There is no copy protection scheme for MP3 audio files (only for WMA, AAC, etc). The D2 also doesn't have any problem with VBR or ABR encoded MP3 files. No need to do anything to your files, just drag'n'drop them onto the D2.
It took more than half a year for the 8GB version to be released... I wouldn't count on a 16GB version soon (or at all). Cowon is a very slow acting company.

(The system does not let me quote)
"Certainly, MP3s will work everywhere." Thank you very much for this!! "It took more than half a year for the 8GB version to be released" And for this as well. And for being so fast! It makes the decision easy and final! bwprius |
