Track order on YP-T9J

I've been trying to sort the order of my tracks, but i have been unsuccessful.

When i try to trasfer playlists (or "Albums", as SMS calls them), once i disconnect the player, and turn it on, a playlist is created allright (so i'm not looking in the wrong place, for example under tracks), but the songs are not in the order i had put them under SMS.

Moreover, when i reconnect the player, and open SMS, the tracks appear in alphabetical order (which is yet another order, a third one, the other two being the one i had put the songs in, and the one they appeared on the player playlist once disconnected). This makes impossible to change the order of the songs, short of renaming them whith numbers at the beggining of the filename ("1 - SONG1.mp3", "2 - SONG2.mp3" etc...) and playing them from the "Tracks" submenu in the player, which is an extremely long and boring procedure.

Is there a way to correct all this?

i'm running on firmware 1.68 MTP.
