So I'm buing a Samsung p2, and I am in need of some headphones. My main thing is that I don't want other people to hear my music in the car, bus, subway, on the street, or in a classroom. Probably want some IEM's. I was looking at some of the new marshmellows, and the creative ones that go for about $30. Anything else besides those for my purposes?

sennheiser cx300, and instead of the new marshmallows try the old marshmallows cuz they have to be cheaper now and also look at the MylarOnes crossroads X3s and XBs

Creative EP630, cheap and sound better than some more expensive phones.

I’d like to second your opinion Phoenix, the cx300’s are very nice in the $30.00 range if you can live with J cables and the cable microphonics. I’ve seen some great deals on the old marshmallows, as low as $9.00, although I’ve never tried them, I have close friends that love dem. IMO, the X3’s and XB’s will blow both of these away, I have all 3 and my favorites at the moment are the XB’s because of the richer and fuller sound, but they’re more than infamous16 is willing to spend. X3’s are US$57.00 and the XB’s are US$65.00 on Jaben’s site.

Definitely the CX300's. I just got mine two days at circuit city for forty dollars! I almost bought em there two months ago for $80 (!) and held off, this weekend saw they were only sixty....up at the register the cashier only rung them up at $40.
![]() But i digress....they are really good phones aside from the cable...now I understand why dfkt said that MDR-EX51's were horrible phones.

I think ill just go with the creatives, since the cx300 are a bit too much for me.
Thanks! |

I’ve seen the cx300’s as low as $10.00 on ebay, although I picked up mine for $27.00, but once again, the XB's put them to shame

yes but also the cx300 on ebay could likely be fake ones.

I Picked up a CX300 from Circuit City too! It sounds great nice bass, full sounding to my untrained ears bbbuuutttttt I returned them. I hated the J-cable and the silver plug made a crackling noise when it moved..... Does the EP630 have the same amount of bass? The EP630, I believe, has a Y cable and a gold plug... might be an option.

Spend 16 more bucks over your $50.00 limit and get the XB's. Free shipping, and great sounding.
Im telling you, these IEMs sound terrific.. IMO, the are the best sounding sub-C-Note IEM there is, ATM.
