Sennheiser is releasing some interesting earphones. They have 4 new models: CX400 ($99.95), with a short cord for use with arm-worn MP3 players and an extension cable, CX500 ($129.95), which is the flagship model and will be available in 3 colors, and the CX55 Street ($79.95) with more emphasis on bass. Last but not least, the CX95 Style ($139.95) is said to have a great visual appeal.
According to manufacturer, these models will be available this month. [ Article from Engadget ] Some pics: ![]() ![]()

They certainly look nice, hope they addressed the cable microphonics issues and the J cable...

They seem to be J-style.
The left part of the cable is shorter than the right.

Nice. I have tried a pair of IEMs without microphonics though.

I should write a review if I get a chance, but the Creative EP630 should be on everyone's list. It's cheaper and from the reviews I have read, almost identical to the CX300.

I agree for the price of these new Sennheiser's there are better and lower priced options available.
edit: Slaughter, do you have a pair of the EP630? I’ve seen them for around $28, but I believe I paid around $27.00 for my cx300’s, which sound very good for that price range.

Yeah I got the EP630. Dell was kind enough to throw in a free pair when I bought my new laptop. It looks like you got your CX300 for a good price though. It will be nice to see if these new Senns can surpass the sound quality of the 300 and 630, because their price might be justified.
