Is it possible? i know it has the .SAT encryption but is there any way of getting rid of that? or am i screwed and not able to get any of them off? i'm looking into a new player so i want all the songs off it.. i tried to get rockbox on it but i could not follow along and couldnt get it to work

If you connect the gigabeat via the dock you can remove the encryption through explorer (if using XP). Just set the player to "Windows Media Player" mode in USB modes, connect through cradle, and you should be able to browse and copy all your music, encryption free!
