C150 restarting itself?

Ok, my boss has a C150 and for some reason, every time he turns it on it starts with the language selection screen and after you choose, it goes to the now playing screen, but says no song. If you go back to the menu and then into the playlist it works but you can not turn the volume up.

Any clues?
