my computer does not detect my t10

hi, my friend gave me his t1o without the installation cd.
i formatted the player, connected it to my computer, turned it on,
then the "found new hardware" window popped up.
i checked my device manager and found the iriver t10 device in yellow and has a question mark next to it.

i went to see "my computer" but it was nada. it didnt show the existence of my t10.

i downloaded the firmware for t10 from iriver.com but it didnt do anything becuase i can not connect my player to my computer... so... is there anythying left that i can do for my computer to be able to detect my t10.

Does the T10 play? Can you go into settings and see which firmware version is installed? Which T10 do you have, 512, 1gb, or 2gb?
