new c150 not recognized by windows xp

I'm trying to sync my new c150 - 'install hardware' in control panel sez it's installed and working, but it doesn't come up as a drive in my computer - the player sez ' MTP connected' - can it have anything to do with a creative zen player that we also use (altho it's not connected now, it does show up as a drive in 'my computer' ) -?
