I personally don't see any problem; but I'm hoping that what this is actually is a sign that Creative is going to stop spreading themselves so thin with a gazillion different MP3 players, and instead focus on just a select few: Zen V/V Plus for the flash-player market, the ZVM for the HDD-based market, and the ZVW for the PMP/PVP market -- and that they will focus on ways to make the most out of these three product lines.

The Playskool MP3 player is a cute idea, though.

I agree with ZenChick. They should focus on some premiere plays but its actually not a bad idea to get a head start on stuff like this. As we see with tech today the first company to break into a market, however small it may be, will pay off in the future when there is great demand for the product. Classical music makes babies smarter....I smell money.

I'm not dissapointed they didn't intoduce another new player this year. The current zens are up to date so to speak and the ZVM 30/60 still has "legs". I'm betting they will bring out a new player in the next year or so.

I think the ZVM is still a strong competitor in today's market. Of course there will be a new model launched but this new player would have to have A) bluetooth + wifi B) larger screen C) an edge....This takes a lot of R&D, and its not worth rushing a new product unless the market is really desperate for one, which it isnt. Creative next player will probably save or break it's market place : /

I think bluetooth + wifi sync, slightly larger screen and of course a thinner design would be the most likely path for a new MP3 player, if they are smart.

I just realised, if kids are brought up using Creative products in their childhood, they'l probably feel more attached to that company and buy more of their products, so in like...15 years, it MIGHT pay off .

Excellent work. Easy to understand.
