Default Running a R0 on AC power

I've been running a couple of R0s for a couple of weeks now, and the battery life is not what I'm used to (cowon), so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good AC cable to run it off of plugged in permanently.

The only cable combos I have here put it in charging mode.
Daily drivers - Dell 6540 -> Boston Acoustics BA745
Others -
Cowon J3, D2+, Iaudio 7, Sandisk m260, Samsung yp-r0 8GB, SGP 5.0

As most mp3 players, the R0 is not designed to be used with an AC cable plugged in permanently.
The user manual says that the battery shouldn't be charged for more than 12hrs.

However, I'm not sure about how it works exactly once it's fully charged: does it get power directly from the AC adapter or does it still get it from the battery, so the AC adapter won't stop charging the battery if you use the device?

Anyways, you can always use the device with an AC cable plugged in. It's just that I don't know exactly how bad it can be for the battery.
And the R0 behavior won't change depending on the AC cable. There isn't a "good" or "bad" cable for the R0.
