Any of you dudes have tried to replace the mic capsule with a small female mic jack, in order to use external mics? I have a set of binaural mics made with a pair of panasonic electrets and a Koss Plug cable, I wonder if I could turn the Clip+ into a recording device.

Looks good but I dont understand why he put that resistor and caps. Maybe he was using a different mic that didnt need plugin power like an electret? I wonder if he can record in stereo that way too.

Beats the heck out of me. I never really checked into it. I just remembered it had been done by someone.
There's threads here and other places that discuss this mod in more detail. Sorry I don't have a link. You should be able to find them if you google using the terms "Clip+ recording mod". You may also want to take a look at Andreas front page article. http://anythingbutipod.com/2012/05/s...-in-connector/ Don't know if it'll help any with your mod but it may give you more info or ideas on other ways to increase the recording capability of the Clip+
