Default A beautiful, easy player compatible with MBP?

Hi,

Location: London, Ontario, Canada. Will buy online if necessary (probably necessary... right?)
Capacity: At least 8GB, although I'd be much happier with 16GB. If there's a microSD card slot, that's a -very good- bonus.
Budget: Approximately $150.
Use: Everything? Although primarily for commuting.
Type/Design: I DAP? I will be primarily using it for audio. But at the price I'm willing to spend, I think video should be included? Would be -excellent- if the player could just take in most video codecs without conversion... particularly MKV files.
Features: Must be compatible with a Macbook Pro (and hopefully no crashing/bricking/whatever problem). Recording would be nice (if it's able to record up to two hours at least. University lectures.) Preferred if it played FLAC and AAC.

Oh edit!: I think "playlist" creation functions are necessary? The iPod touch does this relatively well. :/ My sansa clip drives me crazy sometimes. Fast scrolling also a plus.
Display: Not a huge huge preference. Of course, nicer vibrant colours are... nice. And responsive touchscreens are better than less responsive ones.

UI/Controls: Right, I think here is my most picky part.

I have palmar hyperhidrosis, so I prefer something with at least one tactical button (like the ipod touch, which I'm hoping to upgrade from). If touchscreen, I also hope to have something as responsive as my ipod touch. (I think the word for is "capacitative?"). I've been using it for a while, and it works. (In fact, I'd totally keep my ipod touch as my One True Player if it just sounded better.)

I also like "beautiful" UIs. I think the Cowon C2 and i10 have cute/vibrant UIs which I like. I think my friend's Zune player also looks nice with its huge font...? Nicer than my ipod touch anyway, imho.

Battery life: Not very very important. Longer the better, obviously.

Comment:
- So basically, something which is pretty and works well (enough) with a macbook pro.
- I use "entry-level" headphones? Right now Soundmagic-e30 and Denon-d1001.

:X Please tell me what you guys think, thanks!
